Making your star map

1. Unlock your order

1. Go to the unlock page.
2. Type your Etsy order number. You will find it in your Etsy confirmation email, and on Etsy under You, then Purchases and reviews.
3. Type the name the order was placed under. Your full name or just your last name both work.
4. Tap Unlock my order. If your order has several maps, choose the one you want to design.

2. Design it

• Moment: search for the place, then set the date and the local time there. Daylight saving is handled for you. Not sure of the exact time? Choose the evening, for example 9:00 PM.
• Style: choose a design and a circle or heart shape.
• Words: add a title and a message. The date, place and coordinates fill in by themselves, and you can edit them.
• Sky details: turn constellation lines, names, the Milky Way, planets and the Moon on or off.
• Everything saves to your order as you go, so you can stop and come back on any device.

3. Download and print

• Open Size and file and tap Download print file. Your size is the one you ordered.
• PDF is best for print shops. PNG is a full-quality image. JPG is a smaller file.
• Files are 300 DPI, which is print quality at full size. Print shops, office supply stores and online photo printers all accept them.
• On a phone, the file goes to your Downloads (Files app on iPhone). From there you can save it, share it or send it to a printer.

Questions

It says it cannot find my order.

Check the order number against your Etsy receipt (numbers only) and use the name the order was placed under. Just your last name works too. If it still does not work, please contact us.

It says my order is not paid yet.

Etsy can take a few minutes to confirm a payment. Please wait a little and try again.

It says too many tries.

To keep orders safe, the page pauses after several wrong attempts. Wait 15 minutes, then try again with the details from your Etsy receipt.

I made a typo, or want to change something after downloading.

No problem. Open the site again with the same order number and name, fix it, and download again. Your design is saved.

My order has more than one map.

After you unlock, you will see a list of your maps. Pick one to design. Come back with the same details for the others.

The download did not start or failed.

Large sizes can take up to a minute. Keep the page open. If it still fails, try again on a computer or another browser, or contact us.

It says I have used all my downloads.

Each map includes plenty of downloads. If you run out, please contact us and we will sort it out.

Can I see the stars before I buy?

Yes. Anyone can design a map and download a small preview with a watermark. Your order unlocks the full print file without the watermark.
